He also can always use simpler terms to help me understand the reasoning behind different methods instead of giving pure equations to memorize. Dr. Fei also always prepares for class beforehand by asking for my worksheets or any problems I have so our classes are always clear and efficient. I really appreciate how flexible and understanding Dr. Fei is. Even outside of our class time, Dr. Fei always answers any questions I have and will even have a quick call with me last minute when I have a test the night before. What I really like about his teaching style is that he explains each concept clearly and then shows an example, which makes it easy to immediately apply what you just learned to real problems. He is also very patient with me, even when I'm a little slower to understand certain concepts. Furthermore, Dr. Fei teaches with a lot of care and thought, and he's very responsible because he always asks students ahead of time what they want to work on just so that he can prepare for the lesson ahead of time. Dr. Fei has been wonderful about keeping in touch with me, always asking for updates on schoolwork or assessments, and he encourages question-asking, which have been fundamental for my growth in the classroom. He's very articulate during our sessions and explains concepts thoroughly while giving the student opportunities to apply their knowledge. “Dr. Fei is the nicest and sweetest tutor I've ever had. Sometimes he's really funny, but don't let that fool you. He's very focused on your success & understanding towards what you're learning and he's very professional. He's a very interesting person & he plays the guitar!! I didn't like math very much when I learnt Algebra 2, but when I started to have Dr. Fei as my tutor, I feel like math became more enjoyable to me and I looked forward to it more than I had before. He's very kind towards his students & very flexible with time (as sometimes I had family emergencies & he was very open about it). Although, it is advised to notify him a day before the tutor session. If you're here to enjoy math without stress, have Dr. Fei teach you. Ever since I've had Dr. Fei, I feel more confident towards my math skills, and I plan on having him as my tutor long-term until I graduate high school (and become a tutor like him!!!). Dr. Fei gives you no worries and sets you perfectly for the future & has a bunch of experience with math. He's worked very hard for his PhD, and I believe he doesn't have praise about it. Overall, Dr. Fei is the best tutor I've ever had, and I regret not signing up for his classes earlier.”
